Beck Consulting, located in the San Francisco Bay area is seeking an experienced enterprise implementation/business analysis specialist to work in a fun and dynamic environment. You should have at least five years of full-time implementation experience on mid-range ERP applications with heavy inventory experience (distribution & manufacturing) to even think about applying. Experience in reporting reporting/analytics applications and SQL will be helpful, as will a background in accounting and/or operations. You will be working with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and related Microsoft products such as SQL Reporting Services and Office.
We’re looking for someone that not only knows ERP application architectures, but is energetic, willing to learn and contribute ideas and have a high sense of professionalism. You will work directly with clients on projects and will be responsible for all aspects of the client interactions on a day-to-day basis - you don't report to a project manager - you are expected to be a business consultant first and a NAV expert second.
If you are an experienced ERP implementer, you know generally what your duties and responsibilities are. But in addition, our implementers do client & staff training, project management, technical support, business process reengineering, and requirements definition. An important aspect of the position is project management, as you will manage the project in addition to executing the implementation. You may also participate in sales team presentations, work on R&D projects and develop documentation for our add-on products and develop specialized training classes.
You will work in the office, at home, and at client sites. Some travel may be required, but we try to minimize any overnight commitments. How this is managed is up to your project management/client relations skills! We expect you to be internally motivated, professional, energetic, and willing to learn, as well as possess a good sense of humor.
The environment is very collegial and casual. Because compensation is not based on chargeable hours, staff works together to mutually solve problems and secure new opportunities. We strive to make it a fun and challenging working environment, but with a high degree of professionalism. The staff will tell you that they've never had a better job in terms personal fulfillment and freedom to manage their time and client interactions.
We also provide plenty of opportunity for professional development and education. We actually require at least 40 hours of approved continuing professional education per year – which we pay for in addition to a full compensation and benefits package that is better than most large employers in the Bay Area (family health, dental, retirement, LTDI, family-friendly hours).
Unlike most environments, you are NOT compensated on billable hours. While your utilization is important, we are focused on QUALITY, not quantity and bonuses take all of these factors, as well as overall profitability into account. In addition, we will also provide the opportunity to become Microsoft Dynamics NAV certified in other technical areas.
We’ve been in the enterprise software reselling and development business since 1986, with a heavy emphasis on food processing, distribution and manufacturing. We are known for the quality of our work, ability to execute complex projects and business integrity. Most clients are fairly complex and range in size from startups to over $3B. Clients are spread all over the country and some are abroad, with the majority in California and Washington.
NOTE: Applicants MUST have current eligibilty to work in the U.S. If you are not a citizen, a permanent resident, or currently have a visa that allows you to work in the United States, we cannot consider your application at this time.
