PROJECT EXPERIENCE
Queue Associates Inc (New York & London) - March 2008 to Date
I am currently employed in a consultant / project management capacity for Microsoft Dynamics GP installations and upgrades. The role also requires ongoing support of existing GP customers. I have successfully implemented eight new GP installations in my first six months and developed relationships with other vendors that provide third party software for Microsoft Dynamics GP. As product team leader I am also responsible for pre sales and all project management of GP projects.
Some of the implementations have been for the following type of trade:

Independent Consulting Solutions - January 2007 to March 2008
I worked for this Bermuda based company for 1 year as a consultant / project management and product leader. I implemented 5 projects in this time which were all successfully completed in the budgeted time. Most implementations were for local companies in the reinsurance trade.
Heathrow Express Oct 2006 - December 2006
This was a project management/ consultant role. This involved upgrading their current Microsoft Dynamics installation from the unsupported version 6.00 to version 9.00. This was a two step upgrade process that was performed first in a test environment and also as a template for other business sections of the Heathrow Airport organisation. .
Petro Canada (UK) Oct 2005 - 2006
This was a project management/ business analyst role for this multinational company based in the London international business unit. The role involved looking at financial information from sun systems prepared in London and other international business units and reporting this information to the head office in Germany. Principally this involved looking at London departmental cost allocations and assessing the validity of these allocations and recommending new allocation methods and consistency with other business units.
The role also involved looking at other applications such as time recording and providing analysis to internal and head office information requests.
I also looked at the London procedures for business travel, assessing the current processes and recommending new procedures and the introduction of an HTML application to record this information. The need for such a system arose due to the increasing health and safety issues arising in worldwide travel.
All these projects were based on a project lifecycle process and required a project plan and budgeting project costs.
All of these projects were completed on time and to budget.

The Refugee Council (UK) Sep 2005
This organisation underwent many changes of key personnel leaving the finance team under utilising the accounting system. My role was to look at their existing processes and financial requirements and to enhance these processes by utilising the accounting system and other reporting software.
There was also a requirement for training the trainer on sales, purchasing and financial procedures.
This role was performed on a limited 15 day budget on schedule.

This international property company had a similar requirement to the refugee council and was performed on time and on budget.
ISC Software Apr 2005 – Jul 2005
This Great Plains reseller had an accounting system implementation for their client Speedframe Windows Limited. My role in this implementation was to asses the existing fixed assets financial value and to check the validity of the existence of these assets. Once a new value and location identity was established the new asset financial information was transferred to the Great Plains fixed asset system.
I also identified their existing stock items from their existing accounting system and transferred this information into Great Plains through a data integration technique. We then performed a stock take of these items and entered the values into the new system.
This implementation was a fully integrated sales order and purchase order processing system and was completed to budget on time.
The new software did not perform every aspect of the old system, so a change request customisation was needed for which I gathered all the information and worked with a programmer to create.
Aisin Europe Manufacturing Ltd May 2003 – Oct 2004
The company had an integrated Sales Order Processing system driven by internet downloads of sales information from its parent company Toyota in Japan. Inventory items were in the form of kits comprising many individual components. It was important that the system was able to cope with inventory levels for the individual components. Another key area was the ability to consolidate the invoicing process so that many individual orders could be combined in one weekly invoice.
I was the project manager and one of 4 on site consultants at this project that was implemented in three phases over a period of 9 months.
Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi Ltd Aug 2002 – Feb 2003
This implementation required detailed reporting requirements for the investment division of the bank created through FRx Financial Report Writer. Due to the high level of security in the organisation it was necessary that the users’ roles were separated and exclusive to their own domain. It was therefore necessary to ensure that users could only perform certain tasks and also that checking and sign off procedures were put in place to enhance the flow of information.
I was the project manager and lead consultant on this project which was completed on time and to budget.
There was also a requirement for extra days when new finance reports were created and when period closes were performed of the accounting system.
Furukawa Electric Company Ltd Nov 2001 - Jun 2002
This was another fully integrated Sales Order Processing and Purchase Order Processing system using Microsoft Great Plains in the telecoms market. The system used back to back ordering in a sales driven environment. A sales order was placed onto the system which generated the necessary purchase order of the inventory item. There was also some third party customisation incorporated in order that items and customers requirements automated the nominal ledger postings to the relevant sales, cost of sales and inventory accounts. The system also required a large amount of report writer requirements and formatting for sales invoices, orders, purchase invoices and purchase orders.
Contract Components Ltd Jan 2000 Dec 2000 (Performed while working with Deloitte Consulting)
This was a 100 user accounting system connecting in a Citrix environment implemented when I was at Deloitte Consulting by a team of ten consultants. This was a fully integrated inventory system for heating components with branches all across the United Kingdom. The financial reporting requirements were centrally based in London but included the ability to create divisional reports as well as consolidated.
I have also worked on smaller projects over the period 1999- to date as well as doing specific reporting and training tasks for individual companies in a contracting role.

This was my first job on leaving University. My role was as a trainee chartered accountant and involved two types of audit. The main role was financial audit which is performed to produce a company’s financial statements in accordance with the current legal requirements. The company also performed for its larger customers a systems audit which involved performing walkthrough tests of a company’s accounting procedures and from these test recommending improvements or highlighting weaknesses of the current system.
