I am presently Owner and President of Brite Idea Inc. I provide consulting, implementation, training, upgrades, report writing, and customization on Microsoft Dynamics SL (formerly Solomon) and related products and technologies. I assist businesses of all sizes and in many industries to realize the maximum ROI from their accounting software investment. I provide project management and oversee various subcontractors and third-party vendors in order to provide clients with the desired outcomes with the most efficient use of time, resources, and money. I have also engaged in various other projects including IT infrastructure support, software selection consultation, and other general IT consulting projects.

As Senior Consultant & Director of IT my responsibilities included both developing internal systems as well as client systems. I set up remote access capabilities to our clients, maintained in-house VPN and LAN, developed web site and guided overall technical direction of the company. In addition, I was responsible for accounting software implementation and support. I worked closely with client management to determine and meet their accounting system needs using Microsoft Dynamics/Solomon and Best MAS90/ MAS200. I acted as Project Manager on most projects, including managing other consultants and maintaining project plans, budgets, and client status reports.

My responsibilities as Senior Consultant consisted of implementation, training, and on-going support of Microsoft Dynamics/Solomon accounting software, Windows NT/2000 servers and networks, SQL Server, Citrix Metaframe, and more. I worked directly with client’s senior management to design and customize systems to their particular needs and to review and improve internal business processes to take advantage of new systems and technology. I frequently assisted with sales process and performed in-person or online demos for prospects.

My responsibilities as IS Manager included all aspects of managing a 120-user Wide Area Network. I managed five Windows NT servers, a Citrix Metaframe server, an Exchange server, a SQL Server database server, Solomon accounting system, a nationwide Virtual Private Network, and many other applications and technologies. I worked closely with senior management to develop new business strategies and new or improved business processes. During my time in this position, I improved our accounting system to the point that a 30% reduction in work force was easily absorbed by the remaining staff, implemented a thin-client methodology giving remote users access to network applications, developed and implemented an EDI system, and assisted with development and implementation of e-commerce web site and Lawson ERP system for parent company.
